Chemistry Research Laboratory is a science building at the University of Oxford, part of the Department of Chemistry.

Opened on 20 February 2004 by Queen Elizabeth II, it replaced the older Dyson Perrins Laboratory in Oxford’s Science Area. The five-floor building provides about 17,000 square metres of laboratory and office space and cost around £60 million to construct.

Funding came from multiple supporters, including JIF grants, the Wolfson Foundation, the EP Abraham Trust, Thomas Swan, the family of Landon T. Clay, the Salters’ Company, and a £20 million partnership with IP2IPO.

The building is arranged with offices on the southern side for academic and administrative staff, and laboratories and write-up areas on the northern side. There is a canteen on the lower ground floor, connected to other floors by bridges on higher levels.

Location: at the corner of South Parks Road and Mansfield Road, to the south of the Science Area in central Oxford.
