Charles Mackall

Charles Matthews Mackall (July 29, 1903 – December 24, 1991) was an American college football player and golfer. He played as a guard for the University of Virginia Cavaliers from 1924 to 1926. In 1926, he served as team captain and led the Southern Conference in field goals with four, earning All-Southern honors that year. Mackall was about 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighed around 205 pounds.

After college, he also excelled in golf, winning the Virginia state amateur championship in 1927. Born in Washington, D.C., Mackall later died in New York City at the age of 88.
