Andrew Lazar
Andrew Lazar (born 1966) is an American film producer. A New York City native and graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, he began his career working for Oscar-winning producer Richard Zanuck. In 1997 he founded Mad Chance Productions, a production company closely associated with Warner Bros. Lazar has produced a wide range of films across genres, including Assassins (1995), Unforgettable (1996), Bound (1996), 10 Things I Hate About You (1999), The Astronaut’s Wife (1999), Panic (2000), Space Cowboys (2000), Lucky Numbers (2000), Cats & Dogs (2001), Death to Smoochy (2002), Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002), Catch That Kid (2004), Get Smart (2008) and Get Smart’s Bruce and Lloyd: Out of Control (2008), I Love You Phillip Morris (2009), Jonah Hex (2010), and Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore (2010). One of his most notable projects is American Sniper (2014), which was nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards. His later credits include Nyad (2023) and a slate of titles such as The Killer’s Game (2024), Brothers (2024), and G20 (2025). Lazar has also produced television projects, including the pilot The Time Tunnel (2006) and the George & Tammy film (2022). He is Jewish.
