1911 MJFA season

The 1911 season was the 20th season of the Metropolitan Junior Football Association (MJFA), which would be renamed the MAFA in 1912. The season ran from 8 April to 17 September 1911. Ten teams competed, playing an 18-match home-and-away schedule, followed by a three-week finals series.

Premiers and minor premiers
- Leopold won the premiership (their fourth) and finished as minor premiers (top of the ladder) for the season, achieving their second consecutive title.
- Oakleigh finished last (the wooden spoon).

Finals and grand final
- The MJFA used the Argus finals system, where the team that finished first on the ladder had the right to challenge the winner of the finals series for the premiership.
- Semi-finals:
- Collegians defeated Beverley at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
- Leopold defeated South Yarra at Victoria Park.
- Grand Final: Held on 16 September at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Leopold defeated Collegians 11.11 (77) to 7.9 (51). The grand final was run as a curtain-raiser to the VFL preliminary final.

Ladder (top four and notes)
- 1. Leopold (Premiers and Minor Premiers)
- 2. Beverley
- 3. Collegians
- 4. South Yarra
- 5. Collingwood District
- 6. Carlton District

Notable moments
- The grand final featured heavy wind in the first quarter, which kept Leopold from scoring early. In the second quarter, Collegians led 7.6 (48) to 0.1 (1) before Leopold took control.

Rename note
- This season was the last under the MJFA/MFA name; in 1912 the competition became the MAFA.
