Wishing Well Stakes
Wishing Well Stakes
The Wishing Well Stakes is an American Thoroughbred horse race held annually in mid‑January at Turfway Park in Florence, Kentucky. It is open to fillies and mares aged four and older and is run on Polytrack, a synthetic dirt surface, over a distance of six furlongs. The race began in 1983 and was named in honor of Wishing Well, a racehorse who won many races and is the dam of Sunday Silence, an inductee into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame.
