Naosuke Tameike Dam

Naosuke Tameike Dam is an earthfill dam in Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan. It is used for irrigation. The dam’s catchment area is 0.9 square kilometers. When full, it stores about 106,000 cubic meters of water and creates a reservoir of around 2 hectares. Construction began in 1952 and the dam was opened in 1956. The dam is 16 meters high and 77 meters long. In Japanese, it is called Naosuke Tameike (直助溜池).
