LaMarcus Tinker (born October 24, 1990) is an American actor, producer and director from Houston, Texas. He is best known for playing Dallas Tinker on Friday Night Lights, Kevin on Cougar Town, and Shane on Glee.

Early life and education
Born in Houston, Tinker developed an interest in theatre in middle school. He attended the High School for Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice and NBCA Academy, graduating as salutatorian. He received a full scholarship to the University of Texas at Arlington to study English.

Acting career
Tinker joined Friday Night Lights in 2009 as Dallas Tinker, a high school football player. He was discovered when he visited the set with friends and ended up in a scene with regulars; the role became recurring. In 2010–2011 he appeared as Kevin on Cougar Town. In 2011–2012 he played Shane on Glee, Mercedes Jones’s boyfriend. He also appeared in Sketchy (2012) and Arrested Development (2013).

Films
His feature debut was The First Time (2012) as Big Corporation. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and had a limited theatrical release.

Producing
Tinker is a producer and owner of LRT Interests Inc. and Scoot Productions LLC. He has served as executive producer and director on several films, including Consequences. He was preparing Down By the River for release in 2014. He also worked as director of photography on Saving Grace (2012) and has been involved in Under Nitrous (2013–2015) and Twice As Nice (2012–2013).
