Jesse Lipscombe
Jesse Lipscombe (born 1980) is a Canadian actor, director, and producer. He is best known for his role as Mance on Netflix’s Black Summer and as Coach Allen on My Life With the Walter Boys. He won a Rosie Award for Best Performance by an Alberta Actor for the 2017 film It’s Not My Fault and I Don’t Care Anyway, and he helped start the Make it Awkward campaign to promote anti-racism in Edmonton.
Early life
Lipscombe was born in West Edmonton, Alberta, to Monica (Miles) Lipscombe and Richard Lipscombe, and grew up in St. Albert, Alberta.
Personal life
He is married to Julie LeConte Lipscombe and was previously married to Shannon Tyler. He has three sons: Chile, Tripp, and Indiana. As of 2022, they live in Vancouver, British Columbia. He is the grandson of Edmonton Eskimos football player Rollie Miles and a cousin of rapper Cadence Weapon.
Legal notes
In November 2022, Lipscombe was charged with aggravated assault related to a May 2022 incident. The charge was withdrawn in May 2023.
