Ceratopeltis

Ceratopeltis is an extinct genus of trilobites, marine arthropods. It lived during the Arenig stage of the Ordovician period, about 478 to 471 million years ago. It is classified in the family Bathyuridae, order Proetida, class Trilobita, phylum Arthropoda, and kingdom Animalia. The genus Ceratopeltis was named by Poulsen in 1937.
