Espirito
Espirito is the second studio album by Lawson Rollins, released in 2010. The music blends flamenco and Latin jazz. Rollins wrote all the music and co-produced the album with Shahin Shahida (Persian-American musician) and Dominic Camardella. The album features a lineup of renowned musicians, including Flora Purim, Airto Moreira, Kayhan Kalhor (from the Silk Road Ensemble), Charlie Bisharat on violin, and Horacio Hernandez on drums.
Two tracks, Moonlight Samba and Havana Heat, reached the Billboard jazz chart. Espirito received positive reviews from jazz and world music critics.
