Deon Terry Anderson (born January 27, 1983) is a former American football player who was a fullback in the NFL. He played most of his career with the Dallas Cowboys and later spent time with the Miami Dolphins. He was drafted in the sixth round of the 2007 NFL Draft, 195th overall, by the Cowboys. He played college football at the University of Connecticut (UConn).

Early life
Anderson was born in Providence, Rhode Island. He attended Portsmouth Abbey School before transferring to Hope High School in Rhode Island, and then Avon Old Farms Prep. In high school he played football, basketball, and participated in track and field. He also wrestled and earned All-American honors as a senior.

College career
At UConn, Anderson started as a fullback after converting from linebacker. He contributed on offense and special teams, helping the team in multiple roles. By the end of his college career, he had accumulated 114 rushing attempts for 420 yards and 1 rushing touchdown, along with 48 receptions for 394 yards and 3 receiving touchdowns. He was known for his special teams work and was named team MVP as a senior.

Professional career
Dallas Cowboys
Anderson was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in 2007 and began the season as the team’s starting fullback in the third game after an injury to another player. He faced several injuries early in his NFL career, including a rotator cuff injury that put him on injured reserve. He had knee problems in 2008 and 2009, including surgeries, and in 2010 a torn meniscus led to him being waived with an injury designation.

Miami Dolphins
In October 2010, Anderson signed with the Miami Dolphins. His time with the Dolphins was short, as he was placed on injured reserve with a triceps injury shortly after signing. He was waived by the Dolphins in March 2011.
