The Talent (El talento) is a 2025 Spanish drama film directed by Polo Menárguez, who co-wrote the screenplay with Fernando León de Aranoa. It’s based on the 1924 novella Fräulein Else by Arthur Schnitzler and stars Ester Expósito and Pedro Casablanc.

Plot
Elsa, a cellist, attends her friend Idoia’s exclusive party. After receiving a call from her mother, she must make a difficult choice about what to do next.

Production and release
The film is produced by Reposado PC and The Mediapro Studio, with participation from RTVE, Movistar Plus+, and 3Cat. Filming began in September 2024 in Biscay and Leioa, in the Basque Country.
