Stavne is a neighborhood in the city of Trondheim, in central Norway’s Trøndelag county. It lies in the Midtbyen area, on the west bank of the Nidelva river, across from Byåsen and opposite Elgeseter. The Dovre Line used to serve Stavne, but today the Stavne–Leangen Line runs between Stavne and Leangen. Stavne is also the site of Trondheim (Stavne) Cemetery, which is maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. The place sits at about 63.4118 degrees north and 10.3848 degrees east, at an elevation of about 22 meters above sea level. It observes Central European Time (UTC+1) and Central European Summer Time (UTC+2).
