River 94.9 is a commercial FM radio station serving South East Queensland, broadcasting on 94.9 MHz from Ipswich. Known on air as River 94.9, its callsign is 4MIX. The station airs English-language adult contemporary music and is owned by the Australian Radio Network (ARN).

History
- The station began on 20 February 1990 as QFM on 106.9 FM, part of the Star Broadcasting Network.
- In 1997 it was rebranded as Star 106.9, shifting away from contemporary hit radio to classic hits and changing its callsign to 4MIX.
- In October 2001, the station moved to 94.9 MHz to improve Brisbane coverage and relaunched as River 94.9, part of a “Riverlution” that introduced a hit radio format. Late-night programming included Wild Nights, licensed from Central Station Records.
- In 2005, the format was adjusted to adult variety with a focus on the Ipswich area.
- Fairfax Media owned River 94.9 for a period before selling it to Grant Broadcasters in May 2008, amid regulatory limits on overlapping licences. The station also served as the broadcaster for Macquarie Radio Network’s Olympic coverage in South-East Queensland in 2008.
- In November 2021, Grant Broadcasters was acquired by ARN, with the deal finalized on 4 January 2022. To comply with ownership rules, ARN sold 4KQ in 2022.
