Mahvizan

Mahvizan is a small village in northern Iran, located in Gilan Province. It is part of Gurab Zarmikh Rural District, Mirza Kuchek Janghli District, Sowme'eh Sara County. In Persian, the name is مهويزان and it is also romanized as Mahvīzān, Mamuzān, and Mavizen. Population has declined over the years: 1,132 people in 317 households (2006 census), 1,038 people in 322 households (2011 census), and 861 people in 305 households (2016 census). The village sits at about 37.299°N latitude and 49.205°E longitude, in the Iran Standard Time Zone (UTC+3:30).
