Hugo Hernán Garay, nicknamed Pigu, is an Argentine professional boxer born on November 27, 1980, in Tigre, Buenos Aires Province. He fought mainly at light heavyweight and later competed at cruiserweight. He is 6 feet tall, with a reach of 77 inches, and fights orthodox.

As an amateur, Garay won a silver medal at the 1998 Buenos Aires World Junior Championships and a bronze at the 1999 Pan American Games. He represented Argentina at the 2000 Olympic Games but was eliminated in the first round by Olzhas Orazaliev of Kazakhstan.

Garay turned professional in July 2001. He won the vacant WBA World Light Heavyweight title in July 2008 by defeating Yuri Barashian and successfully defended it later that year by beating Jürgen Brähmer. He later moved up to cruiserweight and challenged for the WBO title in 2011, losing to Marco Huck. His career record stands at 41 fights, 34 wins (18 by knockout) and 7 losses.
