VfV 06 Hildesheim is a German football club from the town of Hildesheim in Lower Saxony. It was founded on 1 July 2003 after a merger between VfV Hildesheim and Borussia 06 Hildesheim.

History of the clubs
- VfV Hildesheim started in 1945. It played in the top regional league, the Oberliga Nord, from 1958 to 1963 and finished as high as third in 1961–62. The club reached the DFB-Pokal in 1960–61 and 1961–62, advancing to the quarterfinals in the latter year before being eliminated by 1. FC Nürnberg. After 1963, VfV declined and spent many years in lower leagues, including a spell in the Regionalliga Nord in the late 1960s, and later played in the Amateurliga Niedersachsen and other leagues.
- Borussia 06 Hildesheim formed in 1946 and never rose above the Amateurliga Niedersachsen. By the time of the merger it had fallen to local amateur football in the Kreisliga. Both clubs have roots dating back to early 20th-century football in Hildesheim.

What happened after the merger
- The new club, VfV 06 Hildesheim, had a difficult first season (2003–04) and was relegated from the Oberliga. It spent several years in the fifth tier (Verbandsliga Niedersachsen-West and later Niedersachsenliga as the league structure changed).
- In the 2014–15 season, VfV 06 Hildesheim finished as runners-up in the Niedersachsenliga and earned promotion to Regionalliga Nord, the fourth tier, for the 2015–16 season.
- In the Regionalliga Nord, the club has had mid‑table finishes: 10th in 2015–16, 15th in 2016–17, and 16th in 2017–18.

Home and colours
- VfV 06 Hildesheim plays its home matches at the Friedrich-Ebert-Stadion, which has a capacity of about 8,000.
- The team’s home colours are red and white.
