The Master (Stan Getz album)
The Master is a jazz studio album by saxophonist Stan Getz. It was recorded in New York City on October 1, 1975, but released in 1982 by Columbia Records. The album lasts 40 minutes and 51 seconds and was produced by Stan Getz. In Getz’s discography, it sits after The Peacocks (1975) and before Getz/Gilberto ’76 (1976). A reviewer for AllMusic, Scott Yanow, said the album is more straight-ahead than Getz’s other Columbia albums from that period and that he is really pushing himself on this set.
