The Essential Odetta

The Essential Odetta is a live album by American folk singer Odetta, released in 1973. It was originally issued as a double LP with performances from two New York City concerts: Carnegie Hall and The Town Hall. The later CD release trims ten tracks from the original set (eight from Town Hall and two from Carnegie Hall). On the CD, tracks 1–13 come from Carnegie Hall, and tracks 14–21 come from The Town Hall. The CD liner notes wrongly state that the entire album was recorded at Carnegie Hall. All songs are traditional unless otherwise noted.
