This is a list of social democratic and democratic socialist parties that have governed countries—either as the ruling party or in a governing coalition. Most have been members of the Socialist International. The list also covers democratic socialist or partly democratic socialist parties that are currently represented in their country’s legislature. It does not include parties that are mainly social democratic and positioned to the right of the centre-left.
