Kayilan
Kayilan is a 2025 Tamil investigative thriller directed by Arul Ajit in his first film. It stars Sshivada, Ramya Pandian, and Prajin. The movie is produced by BT Arasakumar of BTK Films, with cinematography by Ameen, editing by Ignatious Aswin, background score by Hari SR, and songs by Karthik Harsha. It released in theatres on 10 October 2025.
Earlier, the film was titled Idumbankaari, with Sshivada as an NIA officer and Ramya Pandian as a news editor. The title was changed to Kayilan, meaning “a person with zero errors,” for easier pronunciation. Supporting cast includes Manobala, G. Gnanasambandan, Abishek Joseph, and Anupama Kumar. It was initially scheduled for 25 July 2025.
Maalai Malar praised the performances of Sshivada and Prajin and the screenplay, but criticized the cinematography, music, and background score.
