K. P. Rajendran
K. P. Rajendran (born 3 November 1954) is an Indian politician from Kerala. He is a senior leader of the Communist Party of India (CPI) and a national member of the All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC). He served as Kerala’s Minister for Revenue and Land Reforms from 2006 to 2011 in the Left Democratic Front government led by V. S. Achuthanandan. He represented the Kodungallur constituency in Thrissur district in the Kerala Legislative Assembly from 2006 to 2011, and was previously elected in 1996 and 2001. He studied at Govt College Thrissur, Sri C. Achutha Menon Government College in Thrissur, and Sree Narayana College, Nattika, earning a BA and an LLB from Kerala Law Academy Law College, Thiruvananthapuram. Before politics he was a student leader and trade union worker. He is married to Ani and has two daughters: Anjana Rajendran (engineer at Bosch) and Dr. Parvathi Rajendran (pulmonology). They have a granddaughter, Jahnvi Karthik, and grandsons, Rihaan Manu and Tanmay Manu.
