Howrah–Puri Express (12837/12838)

The Howrah–Puri Superfast Express is a daily Indian Railways train in the South Eastern Railway zone. It runs between Howrah Junction in West Bengal and Puri in Odisha.

- Distance and time: About 502 km, taking around 8 hours 30 minutes. The average speed is about 59 km/h; the maximum speed on parts of the route is up to 130 km/h.
- Schedule: 12837 Howrah → Puri and 12838 Puri → Howrah (daily in both directions).
- Route: Howrah Junction → Kharagpur → Balasore → Cuttack → Bhubaneswar → Puri.
- Coaches: Uses LHB coaches with multiple classes: 1 AC First Class, 2 AC 2-Tier, 5 AC 3-Tier, 2 AC 3-Tier Economy, 8 Sleeper Class, 2 General Unreserved, plus 1 EOG and 1 SLR. No pantry car is provided.
- Facilities: On-board catering and e-catering available; large observation windows; seating and sleeping arrangements.
- Rake and traction: LHB rake since 30 April 2019; route is fully electrified and powered by a WAP-7 electric locomotive from Santragachi or Tatanagar shed for the full journey.
- Fare: Since the average speed is above 55 km/h, a Superfast surcharge is included in the fare.
