Dunc McCallum
Dunc McCallum (March 29, 1940 – March 31, 1983) was a Canadian ice hockey defenceman. Born in Flin Flon, Manitoba, he was 6 ft 1 in tall, weighed 193 lb, and shot right. He played in the NHL for the New York Rangers and Pittsburgh Penguins, appearing in 187 games, and in the WHA for the Chicago Cougars and Houston Aeros, appearing in 100 games, from 1966 to 1975. After his playing days, he coached the Brandon Wheat Kings of the Western Hockey League for five seasons and earned Coach of the Year twice. The Coach of the Year trophy was renamed the Dunc McCallum Memorial Trophy in his honor after his death.
