The seventh season of the NBC drama Chicago Fire aired from September 26, 2018, to May 22, 2019, with 22 episodes. It moved its time slot from Thursday at 10:00 PM to Wednesday at 9:00 PM.
Firehouse 51 faces a dangerous 25-story apartment fire and deals with many personal moments: Dawson leaves the show, Foster joins as a new paramedic, Cruz goes undercover to catch a missing-key thief, and Severide makes a daring rescue. Other storylines include Boden under scrutiny from a new Deputy Commissioner, Casey and Brett adjusting to Dawson’s departure, and a series of apartment robberies tied to the missing lockbox key.
Cast changes: Monica Raymund left the series after Season 6. Annie Ilonzeh joined as Emily Foster to replace Dawson. DVD release: Region 1 DVD released August 27, 2019.
