Benjamin Kristian Arthur (born 9 October 2005) is an English footballer who plays as a central defender for Brentford in the Premier League. He is 1.92 m tall and was born in Warwickshire, England, growing up in Lillington.

Youth and early career: Arthur started as a midfielder with Leamington Hibernian and Coventry Sphinx before joining Peterborough United’s academy at age 13. Despite injuries, he progressed and was part of the U18 squad that won the 2022–23 Professional Development League Cup. He signed a scholarship and then left Peterborough in August 2023.

Brentford: On 31 August 2023, Arthur joined Brentford B on a three-year contract for a fee reported near £1 million. He missed the first half of the 2023–24 season with a stress fracture of his back, returning to match play in January 2024. He was an unused substitute for Brentford’s Premier League game against Arsenal on 9 March 2024. After another injury in the off-season, he returned to the B team on 23 September 2024 and made 27 appearances in 2024–25, helping Brentford win the Professional Development League and earning the club’s U21 Player of the Year award. In July 2025, he was promoted to the first team on a six-year contract with an option for a further year. He made his first competitive senior appearance on 16 September 2025, starting in an EFL Cup win over Aston Villa.

International career: Arthur has represented England at youth level. He played for England U18 at the 2023 International Tournament of Lisbon (three matches). He earned a call-up to England U19 in 2023 and 2024, with one cap in 2024 against the United States. He made his England U20 debut as a starter in a friendly against Japan on 14 November 2025.

Personal life: He grew up in Lillington, Warwickshire, and shared accommodation with teammate Ashley Hay while with Brentford B.
