Anwara Begum (1934/35 – 21 April 2018) was a Bangladeshi academic. In 2006, she received the Ekushey Padak for her contribution to education. She was married to Iajuddin Ahmed, who served as the 14th President of Bangladesh, making her the First Lady from 2002 to 2009.

Begum was a professor in the Department of Zoology at the University of Dhaka. She also served as the head of the Zoology Department and as provost of Shamsun Nahar Hall. She was the founding vice-chancellor of Atish Dipankar University of Science and Technology (a private university in Dhaka), serving from 2004 to 2011.

She and Iajuddin Ahmed had a son, Imtiaz Ahmed Babu. Anwara Begum died on 21 April 2018 in Dhaka at age 83.
