Amanda Sater, Baroness Sater
Amanda Jacqueline Sater, Baroness Sater (born 21 June 1963) is a British Conservative life peer, marketing executive and former magistrate. She has sat on several charitable boards, including Addaction, the British Lung Foundation, the Youth Justice Board, and the Metropolitan Police Authority, and has been a director of the Institute of Sales Promotion. She has chaired the charities StreetGames and the Queen’s Club Foundation. In her youth she played tennis for Wales and on the national junior tour, and she is the president of Tennis Wales. She served as a magistrate for 16 years on the Inner London Youth Bench. Nominated for a life peerage by Prime Minister Theresa May in May 2018, she was created Baroness Sater, of Kensington in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, on 20 June 2018. She served as a Baroness-in-Waiting (government whip) from 16 December 2019 to 6 January 2020 under Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
